Galapagos

After an 8 day sail from Las Perlas, Panama, Amandla arrived in Isla Isabela, Galapagos on May 12, 2013.  Galapagos was magical.  We snorkeled with penguins, sharks, sea turtles, and manta rays. We hiked with iguanas and land turtles.  Go there.  Take the kids.  Pictures below were taken by the Captain (or a random stranger if the Captain appears in the photo) can be found below.     There is also some footage on Amandla’s YouTube Channel. Check it out.

Looking through your archives, had to pop into the Galapagos entry to see your take on the islands. The seal photos are hilarious.

? Having sea lions living on our poop deck was definitely a highlight of this sailing adventure. Their cute little faces are forever etched in my memory.

Galapagos seems like an awesome travel destination. I fell in love with it from your pictures! When’s the best time of the year to explore it?

The best time for Galapagos is from December to June. We arrived under sail on 12 May and left 1 June to sail onward to The Gambier Islands in French Polynesia
