No, that is not Amandla (thank goodness). That is a charter boat that we met while waiting for a weather window to head to Suwarrow.
The crew of four had been sailing in mild conditions within the reef when the mast just simply gave up. Rigging failure. Luckily no one was hurt.
The charter company arrived a few hours later to give the crew a tow back to the charter base.
For independent cruisers, such a situation is typically a bit more dire and certainly one that we hope we never have to face on Amandla.
