Samoan Police on Parade

One of my favorite things about Samoa is men in ‘skirts’ (i.e. Lava Lava).

Especially the policemen.

And the best thing about the Policemen (and women) is their weekday parade ritual.

Daily Police Parade (1)

Monday through Friday at approximately 0900 hours, the Police congregate at the government building, raise the Samoan Flag, then raise their instruments, and march to the Police station.

I captured a video clip of the event and added it to Amandla’s YouTube channel

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
