Achievement

This one is for The Daily Post

I celebrate two achievements with this week’s photo challenge.

Reason to Celebrate # 1

The ceremonial arrival of the Hōkūle’a and Hinkianalia in Waitaingi, Aotearoa from Hawaii on 15 November 2014.

Sailing the settlement routes of their ancestors. Circumnavigating the globe. One Ocean, One Island Earth

The wakas, the fans, and the dreamers welcome the voyagers, current and previous.

Tradition. Honor. Achievement.

Reason to Celebrate # 2

With my recent arrival in New Zealand on 6 November 2014, I have now sailed over 1/2 way around the world. Only 170º and 14′ of longitude to go!

Yay me!
