I immediately thought of the lighthouse at Cape Reinga when presented with Cee’s Which Way Challenge. I came upon it recently during my travels in New Zealand.
I’ve been in love with lighthouses for years, first adoring them on-shore, and later, being welcomed by them from sea as they’ve guided me on my sailing journey.
An extra added bonus at this site was the signpost, which will serve as a wonderful photographic record of the distances traveled thus far and those to be traveled in the future. I’ve photographed similar signposts in various ports along my journey, but I’ll save those for another day.
I’ve only seen the lighthouse from land, but will soon be photographing it from sea as we sail from the North to the South Island in mid-December (weather permitting). Looking forward to it!
Wonderful entry for which way. I adore the sign.
Thank you Cee for your lovely compliment and for prompting photo bloggers with so many awesome challenges http://ceenphotography.com/
I love lighthouses and enjoyed the plethora of signage, too. 🙂
