We were preparing to lift anchor today and sail from Opua to nearby Russell, but gale force wind warnings made us rethink our plans. So I decided to visit Russell through the images I’d taken a few weeks back when traveling there over land.
Russell, New Zealand’s first capital, is rich with history and offers many photo opportunities.
My favorite image taken there was of the Russell Police Station. The Station and the massive Moreton Bay Fig Tree in front looked like something out of a 1930s film set and seemed like the perfect entry for this week’s challenge.
And guess what. The Station is haunted!
That is a cool tree you captured. Thanks for playing.
Thank you Cee!
