Contrasts (2) – Weekly Photo Challenge

This one is for the Daily Post

On 27 June 2014, the proposed Weekly Photo Challenge was  ‘Contrasts’.   I submitted my entry for this challenge on 28 June 2014.

I typically submit only one entry per Photo Challenge.  However, I felt the photos below were so suitable for the Challenge that I decided to submit a second, much later entry.  So here goes……

Jour De La Lessive
Jour De La Lessive

Photo 1 – I spied this ‘classic’ scene during my last day in Papeete. A beautiful woman from a place far away of simple means, staring off her balcony into her future, the day’s laundry hanging in the background.

Photo 2 – A beautiful woman (that would be me) from a place far away (French Polynesian perspective) of increasingly simpler means (because I have been bleeding my bank account dry to live my dream) hanging laundry on her ‘balcony’.

Somehow, Photo 2 just didn’t quite evoke the same feeling for me as Photo 1.
