For today’s challenge, I share three photos that show a ‘pop (or two) of color’ on muted tones. A mix of beauty (the first two) and kitsch (the third).
Maupiti – August 2014 – The Fisherman’s Wife
The first was taken after we sailed into calm waters just inside the often treacherous entry pass in Maupiti, Society Islands, French Polynesia.
New Zealand – November 2014 – Dreaming Of An Ocean Voyage
The second was taken of a boy patiently awaiting the arrival of the Hōkūle‘a in Waitangi, New Zealand.
New Zealand – November 2015 – Total Span Mascot
The third image was captured while driving from Kerikeri to Paihia. While not as beautiful as the first two, he made me smile.
I am finally getting out and about more in New Zealand. Headed to Auckland today with my cousins for a taste of what it has on offer. So excited.
