[…] Auckland Streets […]
It’s very exciting to see the street life in Auckland. I singled out the photo of a person with a short skirt 🙂 Thank you, Lisa. This is wonderful!
🙂 Auckland offered fabulous stage for photography Paula. I greatly enjoyed my time there. Thank you for hosting this challenge and for your kind words.
It was my pleasure, Lisa. Thank you again.
🙂 This was my 200th post Paula
Great photos
Well thank you Rob! I am delighted that you think so.
Hi Lisa, I simply love your street photographies. These are no exception. The first one has been my preference for a while! Great eye to capture his subtle look. Way to go with your muse!
You are a kindred spirit Lucile! I loved your take on our shared muse. Auckland seemed like the right place to (re)visit for this challenge. Thank you 🙂
Lisa, I feel honored by your comment. Heartfelt thanks.
You are never short of generosity.
PS. We bought a book from a Dutch Photographer titled “Before they pass away.”
He went all over the globe to shot last tribes. The Vanuatu are there.
Wonderful photos Lisa. I love them all but I think the woman with the umbrella is my favourite. She looks so elegant. I also share your muse. There is so much inspiration on the streets.
You’ve got a great eye for the streets Michelle. I love what you are shooting there! I’m so pleased you liked the photos 🙂
Awww! Thanks Lisa. x
I love that the street is the muse of a sailor – unexpected but understandable! There are so many stories we can read into street scenes, and these are no exception. Very cool interpretation.
🙂 Thank you so much Lexie! The sea is my home but my favorite images are of the people I meet along my way . Still, I love underwater pics too (they feed my color addiction) and look forward to taking more at our next port of call (Bay of Islands).
Lovely shots Lisa!
You are wonderful to say so Nicole. Remembering the wonderful challenge you posed for the WPC, it’s probably more accurate for me to say ‘Humanity’ is my muse 🙂 . I am heading to the Bay of Islands in Fiji and will be without internet for a few days but look forward to catching up with your blog and the #SolarSisterSummit when I’m back on-line.
Wonderful Lisa! Have an amazing time!
nice point of view
i really like that

I am so pleased you liked it Sylvain! Thank you for the compliment
Lisa – some of your best pic’s ever. Keep up the great work!
You are wonderful to say so Duncan! Sorry for my delay in responding. Was visiting an anchorage without internet connectivity.
Lisa – keep up the good work! have enjoyed your posts.
Well thank you Duncan! Sorry for my delay in responding. Just sailed into Newcastle, Australia and am in catch up mode.
Lisa, you have called it Auckland Streets, but really you have captured the essences of the people in your photos. All of them have an interesting expression on their faces. I haven’t yet experimented with black and white photography; removing color makes me focus on the faces!
I am so pleased that you think so Michele! Apologies for my delay in responding. Have been in an anchorage without internet.
Simply lovely photos, Lisa. I love getting a taste of the people of Auckland through your point of view.
I am so glad you think so Britta! I very much enjoyed photographing the people of Auckland!
Gorgeous images, especially the one in front of the Bank. Another split second and the guy with the dark turban would have been against the white wall and would have stood out better (it’s called Figure to Ground in the art world) but otherwise a great image: good perspective, nice tight crop to make a compelling composition without distractions, and lovely capture of the movement in the legs. Have you heard of a photographer called Henri Cartier-Bresson? He was famous for capturing “the decisive moment”. I think you’d enjoy his work.
Well thank you Karen! I adore your feedback. It is most certainly in the timing (usually I miss but sometimes I get ‘close enough 🙂 I LOVE Henri Cartier-Bresson and wish I could be 1/100000000000000000 as good as him. When I look at his stuff, I loath mine, but someday ……cause I am addicted to this art form and practice makes perfect….
Love that last photo. A sense of mystery around it!
Thank you for your visit and kind words. I loved Auckland. So many great photo opportunities!
